  Had one of the worst experiences ever tonight at the Athens, Alabama restaurant, when myself and 3 others stopped for dinner after driving 10 hours. Our server was extremely slow, took 25 mins to get 2 drinks, and didn't bring my soup before my meal. When I finally got my soup after reminding her, it was luke warm at best. We waited another 15 mins before she came back and I told her to please remove the soup order from my bill since it's too cold to eat and my dinner should be coming up. She agreed and apologized and said it was her 2nd day on the job. We understood why our service so far hadn't been the best and wondered why she was not being properly trained. 2 of us ordered the southern chicken finger dinner with fries. When our food finally came it was a small plate for each of us with 3, 3 size pieces of chicken(more comparable to a boneless wing), no fries. The portion was smaller than a child's meal at McDonald's. She brought us out fries and said she forgot to place the order. The meal was supposed to cost $10.99 so I asked if this was actually the meal and not a side. She said she rang it in as an add on by mistake and that they would make us more. We declined the offer and asked to just be charged for the add on at the $4.99 price instead of the meal since the chicken was so small and did not look like the picture on the menu. The manager (Ronya) then came after about 25 more minutes and was extremely rude and stand offish saying that we ordered the wrong thing, and was snappy when we asked if that is really what would come for the price of $4.99 because it was so small. She agreed to adjust our bill, said "that's the correct size and we gave you the fries for free", never apologized, rolled her eyes and walked away leaving the server standing there awkwardly apologizing. As frustrated as we were, we understood the server was not trained, nor getting any help. We then waited 40 minutes to receive our bill. Which was wrong. Then waited another 20 for the correct bill. The table next to us also had horrible issues and asked to speak to the manager. At this point a new manager (Angela) came out to help them saying that she just got there. So Ronya left without helping her server knowing there was at least 1 unhappy table. I was actually appalled that she would just leave and throw another manager just arriving under the bus to deal with the issues that happened on her watch. We will never be coming back to this Ruby Tuesday again. And I hope for the servers sake, that she either finds employment at a place that will properly train and help their employees, or that someone steps up and actually trains her.

  Food, service and interior appearance is good. Price is on the high end. Exterior awnings are faded, indicating lack of investment in appearance.
